Paws at the Pier

As the Central Brevard Humane Society celebrates its 55th year caring for lost and homeless pets in our community, we invite you to bring your furry friends to the Cocoa Beach Pier for a day of owner/animal companionship at the 6th annual "Paws At The Pier" event on Saturday, September 15, 2007, from 10 AM to 3 PM.

 

Advance tickets are $10 Adult/$5 Child and $15 Adult/$8 Child at the door, with children under 6 and pets free! Tickets are available at all Community Educators Credit Unions, Pet Supermarket on SR520 in Merritt Island, the Cocoa Beach Pier, the Humane Society Shelter at 1020 Cox Road in Cocoa, and the Molly Mutt Thrift Shops (2525 N. Courtenay Pkwy on Merritt Island, 876 N. US1 in Rockledge and 728 E. New Haven Avenue in downtown Melbourne).

 

Admission includes great entertainment from the Pan Sharks, food & non-alcoholic beverages, misting tent, 50/50 & door prize drawings, silent auction, guessing games, pet psychic, Veterinarian Education Station, pet first-aid demonstrations, and the ever-popular pet contests! 11:30 am starts the contests with Best Dressed pet followed by Smallest and Largest pet, Owner/Pet Look-a-like, and finishing with Best Pet Trick. Judges for the event include Cape Canaveral Mayor Rocky Randel and Boeing Executive and Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Chair Roy Tharpe. Join the fun and support homeless animals in our community! NOTE: All animals must be on leash or in carrier to enter event. Dogs and Cats MUST have proof of current vaccines for the safety of all our furry friends.
